Strange Holidays

What does A scare crow, batman and a pumpkin have in common?

Usually nothing! But here in the US they all seem to come out for this holiday called Halloween. I'm used to celebrating Heroes Day in Jamaica in October then moving right into Christmas season. Now I need to get used to Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations.

It's different, and I guess I still don't get it. But I'll wear a costume and eat some turkey to do my part.

Even when the temperatures drop below 40 degrees. Kids get bundled up for some free candy. Strawberry Shortcake and Papa Smurf were spotted at Harvest Fest trying to score some lollies.

With all the weirdness of the holiday, and the un-welcomed low temperatures, there is one thing I look forward to every day. Awesome golden leaves! This is the best part of the season! Makes driving a pleasure.
